Not too far away...

Hey everyone!  This morning Jess yelled at me, saying I have been neglecting the blog.  Now since she is my younger sister over the course of my life I have conditioned myself to ignore her, but this time she is right (don't tell her I said that).  Over the last few weeks I have been distant from the blog, watching from a far, but I swear I have good reasons.
First, as you may know I am a full time mom with a full time job and my children are obsessed with soccer.  I am sure I don't need to tell how crazy this can be.  At the end of 2013 I received a promotion at work.  I love what I do, but this new position can be stressful.  I find myself so exhausted some nights I can't keep my eyes open long enough at night to read a page, never mind a chapter.  Also, after work or on the weekends you can find me on the sidelines of a soccer field at least four days a week.  My kids love it and are quite good, so I don't mind.  Now you might think that all this time at the field is the perfect time to read, but trust me when I say I so busy biting my nails to keep me from screaming and routing like a crazy person that reading is not an option.
The second reason I have taken a little break is I felt burnt out.  During the months of November and December Jess and I over scheduled blog posts.  Some weeks we had eight to ten blog tours to prepare for.  With so many posts due and deadlines stressing us out the blog began to feel like a second job and not the page I started for fun.  I needed to take a breather to find the fun again.
Thirdly, what many of you may not know is I have been writing a little something of my own over the last few weeks.  Back in February a few characters invaded my life and I cannot get rid of them.  I know it sounds cliche, but they will not leave me alone.  In those rare moment of peace and quiet they pop up out of no where and invade my mind.  Now, the world may never meet Izzie and Desmond, but I feel compelled to try to write their story.  I am happy to say I have almost 40,000 words written, but Izzie has a lot to say and I fear 40,000 words is only a fraction of her story.
Now with all of that said, I promise to get back in the saddle.  I have a few reviews to write up tonight and have a few books in the hopper.  I want to thank all of you for sticking around and following our little page.  I may not have been posting all of the time, but I have been watching the amazing job Jess has been doing (round of applause).

Sincerely,
Jenn
