Release Day Blitz & Review: Tease by: Missy Johnson

Male escort.

That got your attention.

Some of the most powerful and well known women in the country pay to have sex with me, some of them married. Some are into more than just straight sex, which is why they call me. Bondage, power play, submission…nothing is off the table. I will do anything for the right price.

The stories I could tell you about a certain high profile congresswoman, or that innocent blonde actress. Trust me, she’s not so innocent.

Guys would kill for my job. I’m living the fucking dream. Meaningless sex, no relationship hang-ups and I’m rolling in the dough. Life is perfect, just the way it is.

Until I meet her.

She changes everything.

She makes me want more than I’ve ever wanted for myself and she believes in me. But she also thinks I sell insurance. I can’t stop what I do, but I can’t give her up.

Eventually, my two worlds are going to collide and when they do, shit will hit the fan.

(I received this novel from the author for an honest review.)

Let me begin with a little aside.  As a blogger, I have the opportunity to experience many stories by many different authors.  A blogger's schedule is usually fill to the max.  Swooning Over Books' is no exception.  However, when I read the blurb for Tease I had to pause for a moment.  One small detail caught my attention.  "Male escort"  Where do I sign up?  I immediately started rearranging my schedule.  One way or another I was going to read this book.  (Even, Jess thought I was a little nuts trying to add this on top of my pile.)  Wow, I am so glad I did.

Tease is a sexy, suspenseful love story that had me squirming in my seat for more than one reason.  Liam "Coop" Cooper was everything I needed him to be, which is part of his job after all.  Controlling Coop was tantalizing.  Smart ass Coop was endearing.  Sweet Coop was lovable.  Roll them up into one gorgeous package and you have one sexy man.

The author did a great job bringing the story right to the edge, but never crossed the line.  For me there is a tipping point between erotica and porn.  My theory is, if you can remove the steamy scenes and are still left with a great story it is erotica.  If not, it's porn.  Missy Johnson did a wonderful job maintaining that balance.  The plot behind Tease was well developed and captivating itself, that the steamy scenes were an amazing bonus.

I am VERY glad I found this book and I am excited to share it with all of you.  Go meet Liam today!  Tell him I refereed you. ;)  Oh, and be sure to mark your TBR for Missy's other upcoming releases.  I think I may have found a new favorite author.

Happy reading!!

When she's not writing, she can usually be found looking for something to read.
