Release Day Blitz & Giveaway: Whispers and Wishes by Hollie Westring

Goodreads: Click Here

Eliza Monroe has been traveling the United States for three years, immersing herself in the towns she visits as she searches for the mother she’s never known. She hopes returning to her grandmother’s inn in Sage Springs, Mo., will provide the break she needs to evaluate her lonely life.

What Eliza isn’t expecting is to have two men enter the picture, not making her decision to stay or leave any easier. One has been her foundation, while the other is as comfortable as she is hopping from city to city. Throw in a kooky grandmother, a cheerful best friend, a sarcastic guest, a town where residents and spirits interact like neighbors, and Eliza has little time to contemplate her future.

Friendships grow, webs are spun and lies are revealed before Eliza comes to terms with what she wants in life and learns what's really important.

Eliza Monroe has never experienced what it felt to be "home". She has never met her mother, she had run out on her and her dad when she was an infant. When her dad dies when she is still only a kid, she joins her kooky grandmother, Aggie, in Sage Springs, Mo., where she meets her best friend Lexi and Lexi's cousin Jake. Sage Springs is not your typical town, the residents share the town with spirits who are able to interact with neighbors, some can even move and touch objects. They wouldn't have it any other way...

Eliza leaves after graduation in search of her long lost mother. After hiring a private investigator, she spends the next three years on a wild goose chase across the country, only to continue to come up empty.  Living out of a suitcase has become very lonely, but she has enjoyed traveling and seeing the sites.

Finally deciding to return home for a month to help her grandmother prepare their bed and breakfast for the towns annual fall fest. She can't help the returning feeling after seeing Jake again for the first time. Not knowing if she will pick up and leave again, or finally settle down back home, she fights to keep her feelings to herself to protect his heart.  Only Jake isn't the only one who's caught her eye...

Gavin Moretti is a sight for sore eyes... After applying as the inn's handyman, Gavin and Eliza spend a lot of time together repair the worn down house. Torn between the two great guys, she tries to keep them both at arms length.  Eliza is faced with dilemmas, dramas, lies, and broken hearts.

I really enjoyed this book, I felt it was a very easy read. The story line flows seamlessly and the characters are great together. Although, I felt the drama and suspense could have been a little stronger, I loved this book non the less. As a debut novel, Hollie Westring did a fantastic job portraying the characters, the good and the bad. I can't wait to read book 2!!

          Enjoy :)

Hollie Westring hails from Kansas City, Mo. She used to be a journalist, which probably explains her extreme dislike of the serial comma and her preference for AP style.

After realizing the hours of journalists were not productive to any type of social or family life, she settled into a job at a publishing syndicate. She worked with comics, astrology columns, word puzzles and feature columns for six years. Although she enjoyed her time there, Hollie decided to leave the nine-to-five world and join the twenty-four/seven world of motherhood. Now she edits from home.
When not writing, editing or reading, Hollie can be found baking cookies or watching more than her fair share of crime TV. She’s a loyal Royals and Chiefs fan.
