Review: (I received this novel from the author for an honest review.)
When Olivia married Alan decaeds ago she envisioned growing old and gray with him by her side. After years of putting her personal dream s to the side in order to focus on raising thier three children, Olivia now looks ahead to the quieter years of her life. Romantic vacations. Relaxing Sunday mornings. Maybe, just maybe, a few grandchildren running around bringing little rays of sunshine into their lives. The one thing Olivia never anticipated was the that one day Alan may not be there. That everything they had would be no more and maybe never was.
Unexpectedly, Olivia finds she can go on with her life. She can pick up the pieces and move forward. Perhaps if the heavens align she may even fall in live again.
Out of Box Awakening is the story of finding yourself later in life. Everyone thinks the journey if self exploration takes place during their twenties. Little do we all know is this trek can happen at any age and sometimes more than once in a lifetime. The author shows this through Olivia.
While I love the overall story, there were a few moments I felt the plot slowed too much. Small scenes I thought could have been removed or maybe segmented out and spun into a spinoff. But these moments were few and far between. I will also say I really liked Tommy. If the author gave him an oppurtunity to tell his story I would gladly listen.
